Non-Degree Seekers Admission Requirements
Non-degree (ND) admission is an enrollment category in which the student is not accepted into a degree program but is approved to take courses that have no registration or program restrictions. This is intended for applicants interested in taking one or more courses at Marietta College (MC), but not necessarily interested in obtaining an MC degree at the time of application. Non-Degree (ND) Seeking status may be used by students matriculated at another institution who wish to enroll at MC as a transient/visiting student, individuals wanting to take courses for personal/professional enrichment, and individuals wanting to take prerequisite coursework for later application to a degree program either here at MC or elsewhere. While all candidates must complete and submit an online application, admission requirements vary depending on the non-degree sub-type as outlined below:
- Submission of a completed online application (required of all ND candidates)
- Earned secondary/high school or post-secondary degree with a cumulative GPA of 2.00 or better depending on last institution attended (required of all ND candidates)
- Copy of secondary/high school academic transcript or equivalent (required of candidates who have not earned college credit after receipt of secondary/high school diploma)
- Copy of college/university transcripts from most recently attended institution and any college from which required prerequisites were taken for classes the student wishes to enroll at Marietta College. (required of candidates who have earned any amount of college credit after the award of their high school diploma)
- Clearance form signed by the Dean of the college last attended (required of all candidates seeking admission as a transient student)
