LAW 757 Trial Advocacy

In this course, students will learn and practice the basics of trial advocacy skills, including jury selection, opening statements, direct and cross examinations, objections, preliminary motions practice, admission of exhibits, examination of expert witnesses, and closing statements.

Students will participate in simulated trial courtroom experiences by preparing and practicing trial skill exercises with feedback after each exercise. The course will conclude with a full mock trial, which will combine independent exercises into a complete simulated experience.
