NUR 438 Critical Care Nursing Theory

Theories and concepts related to acute, complex physiological health alterations are presented within the framework of the nursing process. Effective decision-making and communication are emphasized in the adaptation of clients to life-threatening and acute health alterations within a rapidly changing health care environment. Legal and ethical dilemmas are examined as students explore the professional nursing role in critical care.  Corequisite: NUR 438
