AVM 306 Airport Planning & Management

Acquaints the student with the basic concepts of airport planning and management. Master planning and the legal and statutory framework within which airports operate are discussed, along with the operational, financial, environmental, and public service aspects of an airport's existence. Fundamentals of airport configuration are introduced including design requirements for both landside and airside facilities. Personnel resources and day-to-day management also will be examined. Prerequisite: MGT 310.
