MSL 401 Developing Adaptive Leaders
This course develops cadet proficiency inplanning, executing, and assessing complexoperations, functioning as a member of a staff,and providing performance feedback tosubordinates. Cadets assess risk, make ethicaldecisions, and lead fellow ROTC cadets. Lessons onmilitary justice and personnel processes preparecadets to make the transition to Army officers.MSL IV cadets analyze, evaluate and instructcadets at lower levels. Both their classroom andbattalion leadership experiences are designed toprepare MSL 401 cadets for their first unit ofassignment. They identify responsibilities of keystaff, coordinate staff roles, and use situationalopportunities to teach, train, and developsubordinates.
