ME 313 Mechanics of Materials
Introduction to the fundamental concepts andmechanics of deformable solids. Topics includestresses and strains in solids, materialbehavior, shear force and bending moments, Mohr'scircle for plane stress and strain, stresses dueto combined loading, axially loaded members,torsion of circular closed sections, pressurevessels, statically indeterminate systems,deflection of beams, column stability. Labsections consists of experiments and usage ofcomputational tools in mechanics analysis.
