FIN 640 Analyzing Financial Performance
Students will critically analyze financialstatements with an emphasis on identifying itemsthat may indicate unrecognized value, undisclosedor inadequate disclosure of problems, andaggressive accounting. Classes will primarily usecase studies with an emphasis on current events.Students will conduct a detailed companyexamination and prepare a report using publicinformation such as annual reports, 10-Ks, 10-Qsand other SEC filings. Although not aprerequisite, it is highly recommended that astudent have as a background a course inIntermediate Accounting or equivalent workexperience.
