ELE 305 CM 5 - Mathematics II
This module is the second part of a two semesterlong sequence and is designed to give students aconceptual framework and in-depth knowledge ofthe mathematics in the elementary school. Topicsin elementary mathematics will be examined from aproblem solving and conceptual framework with aview to in-depth understanding of these topicsand their interrelationships. Topics will includeStatistics, Probability & Data Analysis, Geometryand Measurement. Emphasis will be placed on theuse of manipulatives and technology for gainingunderstanding and solving problems. The approachwill integrate the understanding of these topicsand their interrelationships with the approachesto teaching these topics in K-6 classrooms. Thisis a required content module for all elementaryeducation majors.
