Water Systems Operator (CWSO - Code 823)
The program trains the student with the fundamental knowledge for the operation of water systems. It offers a theoretical and practical preparation in the use of technology as an instrument to carry out the simple tasks of the operation of simple and practical drinking water systems and to recognize the environmental aspects and the laws that govern such industry. The program also provides for the student to acquire the necessary knowledge to take state exams, required for the performance of that occupation.
The concentration courses must be passed with a minimum grade of C, and in the practices CWSO 0291, CWSO 0292 and CWSO 0293 a minimum grade of B is required.
The San Germán Campus is authorized to offer this Program.
- Students admitted in or before August 2021 - 48 credits / 1,867.5 hours
- New Students admitted in or after January 2022 - 51 credits / 1,530 hours

For students enrolled on or before August 2021, in compliance with the past regulations, (34 CFR 668.8 (1) (1) a minimum number of hours in work outside the classroom will be added to the specified hours. The details of the number of hours and the appropriate tasks for each course are defined in the course syllabus.
