PHYT 7254 Health Risk Assessment/Exercise Testing
Health Risk Assessment and Exercise Testing: provides students with an introduction to clinical exercise physiology concepts, as well as the relationship between fitness and wellness. Evidence-based physiological principles underlying the human response to exercise are discussed as they relate to the healthy adult. Some examples are provided regarding how these principles may be affected in the adult with diabetes and cardiovascular disease. Planning, implementation, and evaluation of various tests are presented in an interactive format. (2 credit hours)
