CAS 242 Fundamentals of Substance Abuse & Addiction

Students will gain a comprehensive understanding and application of addiction counseling, current therapeutic trends, strategies, and modalities used in addiction disorders, to facilitate the development of addiction counseling competencies associated with positive treatment outcomes, and increase student's competence relative to providing addiction evaluation, counseling, education and treatment services. Emphasis will be placed on developing and practicing addiction counseling skills.
