HSVC 350 Change Theory and Motivational Interviewing

This course provides an introduction to motivational interviewing theory and practice. Students will learn and apply the four processes of motivational interviewing: engaging, focusing, evoking, and planning. They will hone their reflective listening skills while paying particular attention to identifying and reinforcing change talk.
