HIST 3329 American Legal History
Relation of law to main currents in political, social, and economic thought in the United States from the establishment of colonial legislatures to the present; appraisal of the social function of constitution-making processes, the legislature, the courts, the bar, and the executive branch in U.S. society; and exploration of the interactions between common and statute law and exceptional constitutional issues like those relating to Native Americans.
