Nursing Student Clinical Requirements

Attending clinicals is dependent upon meeting the following requirements and providing required documentation. Students registering for clinical courses must furnish evidence of the following items listed below. Students who fail to provide evidence will not be allowed into the clinical setting and may automatically be withdrawn from the clinical course, which may have a negative impact on progression.

• Current CPR card, indicating a complete and maintained certification in basic life support techniques

• Student ID

• Criminal background check with a cleared authorization; some sites may request repeat tests.

• Recent history and physical exam

• Documentation of immunizations including influenza

• Negative TB test or normal chest X-ray

• Negative drug screen (some sites my require repeat tests)

• Appropriate clinical uniform (Stratford uniform and insignia, affixed patch to left sleeve of shirt and lab coat)
