NSG 296 Current Topics in Nursing VI - Cultural Diversity

This course is designed to help students explore, understand, and appreciate culturally diverse populations. Various theoretical approaches will address opportunities and challenges experienced by culturally and ethnically diverse groups as it relates to healthcare literacy, access and equity. The goal is to help the learner understand and acknowledge human preferences, biases, and stereotypes that can influence the development of cultural awareness, competence, and humility necessary for optimal professional encounters.
