HOS 490 Hospitality Capstone

The capstone course provides a culminating experience for students to integrate their knowledge, skills and dispositions into a student centered independent project. This course should be taken at the end of the student’s program. Students work under the supervision of a faculty advisor to develop the capstone. For hospitality, the students critically analyze course work and experiences to demonstrate a range of abilities. The capstone projects may include, but are not limited to, writing a research paper, designing a catered event, designing and preparing a multi-course menu, designing and teaching a course to faculty and students, and creating a system that could be applied to a hospitality operation for greater efficiency or effectiveness.
