EQ 402 Equine Assisted Reproductive Technologies

This course will introduce students to the current state of assisted reproductive technologies available to the equine industry. Students will learn the principles and applications of semen collection, extension and cryopreservation as well and all including components of artificial insemination in the mare. Additionally, students will learn aspects and applications of equine ultrasonography technologies, superovulation, embryo collection and transfer, oocyste collection, gamete intrafallopian tube transfer and nuclear transfer in the horse.
