A minor in education proposes to enlighten students about the teaching profession with the goal of developing a K-12 educationally literate populace. Issues in education related to diversity, pedagogy, child development, philosophy, eLearning and education technology, are the focus areas of this minor. While completion of the minor does not lead to a license or certificate, students who pursue the minor will gain a strong knowledge base in the area of education and be well-prepared to enter a licensure program, graduate program, or career in the field of education.
