NUR 5530 PMHNP: Practicum in Primary Care III
This culminating course will provide students the opportunity to further expand their role as an advanced practice nurse in psychiatry. Students, in preceptored situations with a FPMHNP or Psychiatrist, may choose a specialty area such as: adult, adolescent, geriatric, dual diagnosis and chemically dependent populations. Clinical practice may include the role of primary provider, consultation/liaison, case manager and multi-disciplinary treatment member. The Molloy University Humanistic Framework will focus on health promotion, health restoration and rehabilitation. Seminar and 165 clinical hours/semester. (Pass/Fail Practicum)
