CIS 3180 Systems Analysis and Design

(formerly CIS 318; Analysis and Logical Design of an Information System)

The concepts and tools for the analysis and design of information systems in business are presented. The focus is on structured analysis and design techniques using the ideas of logical data flow diagrams, extended entity-relationship models, user interface prototypes and process diagrams. The Systems Development Life Cycle, prototyping, feasibility studies and CASE tools are incorporated.
