CIS 3390 Networks I-Local Area Networks

(also CSC 3390; formerly CIS 339; CIS 239)

Students will study the design, construction and management of local area networks. Topics covered will include: networking standards and the OSI model, network protocols, network media, physical and logical topologies including Ethernet, connectivity hardware including hubs, bridges, switches and routers and troubleshooting and maintaining local area networks.
