Suggested Program of Study

Because of the prerequisite structure for courses in the Physics Major and the schedule of availability for some of the upper-level courses, it is important for students pursuing the Physics Major to follow the recommended sequence for courses in the major as closely as possible.

The recommended sequence of courses for the first two years of the Applied Physics Major is the same as for the Physics Major. The sequence for the final two years is dependent on the interest of each individual student and the courses are chosen in consultation with the student’s advisor.
