Insurance

International Student Insurance

All international students must participate in the College International student insurance plan unless the student can show to the satisfaction of the Office of Student Accounts that the student is covered by a plan in the home country that provides equal or near equal coverage in the U.S. The College plan requires deductibles and copays. It provides benefits for physician office and hospital visits, testing, treatment, and medicine associated with an injury/ illness. For more information on the insurance plan, students should contact the Director of Education Abroad.

Personal Property Insurance

The College does not provide insurance coverage or reimbursements for loss of students’ personal property at the College or while on trips. The College encourages families to review their homeowner’s or renter’s policies to determine if their personal property is covered while at Marietta College. Many insurance providers offer a rider to the primary policy to insure personal property away from home.
