COM 336 Consulting, Freelance, and the Digital Entrepreneur
This course equips communication professionals with the essential skills and strategies to thrive as freelancers and digital entrepreneurs in today’s dynamic online marketplace. Students will explore the practical aspects of building a freelance career, including personal branding, client acquisition, project management, financial planning, and leveraging digital tools for marketing and networking. The curriculum also covers the unique challenges and opportunities of digital entrepreneurship, such as creating sustainable online businesses, navigating e-commerce, and developing content-driven revenue streams. Grounded in a biblical worldview, the course emphasizes stewardship of talents, ethical business practices, integrity in client relationships, and the call to serve others through meaningful work that reflects Christ’s love and excellence.
