BUSA 361 Business Analytics

In the information economy and with the growth of e-commerce, enormous amounts of data are generated from business transactions, networked sensors, and social networking activities. This course introduces students to the theories and techniques of business analytics and exposes them through hands-on exercises to the range of current business analytics applications including targeted advertising, personalized recommendation, supplier/customer relationship management, product design, credit scoring, fraud detection and workforce management. The course is coupled with a lab to prepare students to take the industry recognized Tableau Desktop Specialist Certification Exam. Prerequisite: BUSA 230, BUSA 240, BUSA 270, BUSA 280
