BUSA 351 Business of Food

In this course, students will study a variety of domestic and international food corporations and visit local for-profit and not-for-profit organizations.  Students will analyze complex global strategies, organizational structure, marketing, human resource management, manufacturing and operations.  We will examine emerging trends and the role of government, trade, technology and environment. The course will explore social, cultural, ethical and political forces.  Students will identify the opportunities and challenges in the global food system. Prerequisite: BUSA 230, BUSA 240, BUSA 270, BUSA 280
