The introduction will include the impact thatmedieval institutions and thought had on the period 1300 to 1650. Major emphasis will focus on the basic economic, social, and political changes in Europe during this time, includingthe flowering of a culture oriented toward ancientGreece and Rome and the religious crisis of the period- the Protestant Revolt and Catholic Reform.
