Professional issues such as integrating marital and family therapy into existing treatment programs, prevention versus treatment, licensing, certification, professional organizations, professional development,malpractice insurance, and related issues areexamined. Ethical concerns related to the practice of MFT are presented including the use of paradoxical interventions, ethics codes, family law, and other legal issues.
