EDUC 4343 Managing Academic and Social Behavior

(3-3-0) This course addresses strategies to manageclassroom behavior using behavioral principles. Definition and measurement of behavior, reinforcement strategies, systematic program development, basic formats for classroominstruction, and techniques for monitoring studentprogress are presented. Emphasis is placed on procedures for increasing academic and socially appropriate behavior through classroom activities.The course requires in class participation and field-based experience.
