Mechanical Engineering Technology
Mechanical Engineering Technology
A.A.S. Degree (S)
The Mechanical Engineering Technology program is designed to prepare students in the design, engineering, build and test phases of a mechanical product development. They gain experience in manufacturing, CAD, solid mechanics, dynamics, electrical systems, fluid mechanics, machine design and working in a project team to create a designed product. Graduates are prepared to enter industry to work as a mechanical technician in technical support, design development, CAD, or in a research and product development role. The program also prepares students to enter a Bachelors Mechanical Engineering program.
The Mechanical Engineering Technology program is accredited by the Engineering Technology Accreditation Commission of ABET, http://www.abet.org.
Program Graduate Competencies
