Upon completion of this course, the student will:

    1. List local places of historical or cultural importance.
    2. Describe the location of local historical and cultural sites.
    3. List several basic facts about various historical or cultural venues in Delaware.
  2. Describe the importance of key places and events to Delaware history and culture.
    1. Explain the role that various places held in Delaware history.
    2. Describe how various venues represent or illustrate American culture or values.
    3. Describe how various places impact Delaware's culture or people today.
  3. Apply basic listening and reading skills to comprehend written and spoken information about local venues and events.
    1. Extract basic information from spoken recordings and presentation about cultural or historical places and events.
    2. Locate and extract key information from brochures, flyers, posters, websites, and other publications that are written for a general audience.
    3. Recognize and list key facts from both spoken and written sources of information.
  4. Construct basic spoken and written questions to request information about places, people, and events.

The grade will be determined using the Delaware Tech grading system:

90-100 = A
80-89 = B
70-79 = C
0-69 = F
