All-Level/Secondary Education, Minor

Program Overview

The All Level/Secondary minor consists of 21-hour education courses that leads to teacher certification. Only students in certain majors are eligible to declare the All-level/Secondary Education minor. For an up-to-date list of eligible majors, refer to the All-Level/Secondary Education minor website.

The teacher education program culminates with a full time, full semester clinical teaching experience in a state-accredited school placement. If your academic major has a corresponding certification field (subject that may be taught in secondary schools), you may be eligible. Admission requirements for this program beyond university admission requirements.

Formal admission to the All-Level/Secondary Teacher Certification Program is required including:

1. Completing an application via Tk20.

2. Clearing a criminal background check.

3. Having a minimum 2.75 GPA.

4. Meeting scores on basic skills tests among other requirements.
