Overview

Master of Arts in Teaching (MAT) with a Curriculum Generalist Concentration provides students with a Texas teaching certificate plus a concentration in curriculum and instruction for those who already have an earned bachelor's degree and want to join the teaching profession. The Curriculum Generalist Concentration prepares students for curriculum leadership positions in schools, educational organizations, or doctoral study. The MAT provides licensure pathways targeted for the RGV four county region: Cameron, Willacy, Hidalgo, and Starr.
