CIVE 2350 Numerical Methods for Civil Engineers

This course offers students an in-depth exposure to the use of numerical methods and programming to solve engineering problems numerically in addition to instructing students on the fundamentals of computer modeling concepts and techniques in civil engineering. The course covers topics of basic numerical methods and programming skills commonly used in engineering applications and later civil engineering courses.  It includes systems of linear algebraic equations, roots finding, curve fitting and interpolation, numerical differentiation and integration, matrix eigenvalue problems, and computer modeling and error analysis.
