PSYC 4356 Health Psychology

This course introduces students to the mind-body relationship and the contribution of psychology in understanding health promotion, health care, and the etiology and treatment of physical illness. Representative topics covered in this course include changing health habits, stress and coping, nutrition, sleep, and exercise, health care utilization, patient-provider relations, and managing chronic illnesses such as heart disease, diabetes, and cancer.
