PHYS 4310 Intro to Atomic Physics

This elective course will introduce the undergraduate students to a variety of topics in atomic and nuclear physics such as properties of atoms, atomic models, the periodic system of elements, modern atomic spectroscopy, quantum mechanical probabilities, properties of stable nuclei, nuclear decays and excitations, nuclear reactions, nuclear models, particles, applications of nuclear techniques, and nuclear and atomic energy.
