ENGT 4312 Industrial Process Control & Design

This course introduces basic concepts, terminology, and types of control systems as they apply to industrial process control. Topics of study will include control principles, the elements of process control systems, and process control signals and systems. The course also provides for an introductory study of various input and output devices used to control process variables in the LNG, petroleum, petrochemical, chemical, pharmaceutical, and food processing industries. Primary emphasis will be placed on processes that require the measurement of pressure, level, flow, and temperature
