EDSL 4306 Content Area Methods in the ESL Classroom

This course focuses on the current methods and theories of planning and teaching math, science and social studies in the ESL classroom. Students will become familiar with the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills. Emphasis will be given to thematic planning, language and content objectives, teaching language through content, and academic language development. Technological tools and resources to facilitate student learning will be explored. Field experience may be required.
