REHS 8350 Introduction to Statistics

Students will be introduced to data analysis and statistical inference. Students will learn to describe quantitative data both numerically and graphically. They will compute statistical estimates and test hypothesis using data analysis software. General topics covered in class include: Descriptive Statistics, Normal Distributions, Sampling Distributions, Statistical Inference, and Hypothesis Testing. Chi-square, t-tests, ANOVA, bivariate correlations, and simple linear regression are likewise reviewed.
