Manufacturing Engineering, Bachelor of Science in Manufacturing Engineering
The Manufacturing Engineering Department will provide a quality engineering education to prepare students for the practice of engineering. A strong laboratory component in the curriculum, with opportunities for industrial internships and research experiences will provide engineering skills that enhance the understanding of the applications of engineering sciences and the realization of the importance of lifelong learning. A strong emphasis on verbal and written communications will be stressed.

Core Curriculum Requirements – 42 Hours
Students must fulfill the Core Curriculum requirements. The courses listed below satisfy both degree requirements and Core Curriculum requirements.
Mathematics – 3 hours
Three credits hours from MATH 2413 or MATH 2487 will be applied here; the remaining one credit hour will be applied in the mathematics requirement of the support courses.
Life and Physical Science – 6 hours

Three credit hours from the lecture component of PHYS 2425 and PHYS 2426 will be applied towards this requirement.
Language, Philosophy, and Culture – 3 hours

Students must complete the engineering/computer science section of PHIL 1310.
Integrative and Experiential Learning – 6 hours
Science Labs
Complete the one credit hour lab component for
PHYS 2425 and
PHYS 2426 and complete the lab component for
CHEM 1311 or
CHEM 1309.
