COU 629 Program Management & Supervision in Addictions
This course provides an overview of federal, state, and local laws and regulations related to treatment of persons with addictive disorders and requirements for treatment facilities and credentials required for staff members. Reviews skills and techniques in supervising addiction counselors. Addresses methods of developing skills of counselors, professional and ethical standards in addictions counseling, program development, quality assurance, program administration, program evaluation, and knowledge of treatment approaches.
