Program Description
The Construction Technology Program prepares the student for a productive career in residential and light commercial construction. The program furnishes a broad-based knowledge combined with detailed training in theory, knowledge and hands-on-labs in areas that provide the technical and managerial expertise, allowing for future advancement in the construction industry. Our curriculum places particular emphasis on "green" building techniques. Students will earn industry recognized credentials under NCCER (National Center for Construction and Education Research), as the cornerstone of our program. As certified professionals under NCCER, our students will be part of a safe, productive and sustainable workforce of construction professionals.

Turtle Mountain College is committed to functioning as an autonomous Indian controlled college on the Turtle Mountain Chippewa Reservation focusing on general studies, undergraduate education, Career & Technical Education, scholarly research, and continuous improvement of student learning. By creating an academic environment in which the cultural and social heritage of the Turtle Mountain Band of Chippewa is brought to bear throughout the curriculum, the college establishes an administration, staff, faculty, and student body exerting leadership in the community and providing service to it.
Career Outlook
Graduates are prepared for a wide range of construction-related positions such as self-employed contractors, project designers, and various levels of supervision. Upon completion of the program, our students have an understanding of their opportunities for advancement and growth at every step of career development. Most construction careers require specific skills and aptitudes, such as dexterity, physical stamina, and problem-solving ability.
