The Master of Science in Management with an Area of Study in Accounting offers graduates the ability to hone in on core management and leadership skills while supplementing their knowledge in accounting. The Accounting Area of Study builds knowledge in the principles of financial accounting, theoretical structures of accounting, stock market transactions, and auditing and investigative fraud techniques.

Businesses are realizing how important it is to understand their financial data to make their business more profitable during this time of economic crisis. They also realize how important it is to have strict sets of internal controls to make their business more efficient. This area of study offers students a unique academic background and will equip managers to develop expertise in financial business process management.

Students of this degree program may also earn credits toward state requirements to take the Uniform Certified Public Accountant (CPA) exam. Rooted in the case method approach, this intensive MSM-ACC area of study degree offers a uniquely collaborative, hands-on education only Thomas Edison State University can offer. The Program is aimed at individuals who have already completed an undergraduate degree at a regionally accredited institution of higher education with a minimum of 12 credits in accounting.
