EQ 461 Undergraduate Research in Equine Studies
Undergraduate research experience involves student in an original research project. The topic will be chosen according to the student interest or need and with approval of the instructor. Under the supervision of the instructor and using a variety of methods, students will collect original data and contribute to problem solving within the equine studies area. Emphasis will be placed on the process of scientific research, including formulation of a research plan, data collection, assessment of data quality, interpretation based on available data, and completion of a written manuscript. Students are required to present their results to an audience outside of the department either by poster or oral presentation.
