AC 200 Theories of Addictions
Students will learn about theories, models, and factors which contribute to substance use disorders. This will include the Matrix, disease, sociocultural models, social learning and attachment theory, and American Society of Addiction Medicine criteria. Students will also understand influential elements, such as traumatic experiences and other mental health disorders, to developing a substance use disorder.
