MA 501 History of Mathematics and Introduction to Proofs

In this course, we will study the history of mathematics with a viewpoint of the nature of the mathematical proof. The objective of this course is to give students a broader context to fit mathematical thinking, as well as give them a review or quick course in proof writing. This course is fundamental for any postgraduate work in mathematics.
