AR 501 Introduction to Art Therapy & Counseling
AR 501 will introduce the principles and professional practices of art therapy and counseling. An in-depth evaluation of the transition from an artist identity to an art therapist identity will be explored. Students will be taught the Expressive Therapies Continuum and key intersections between creativity, psychology, and counseling through lecture, discussion, media exploration, and experiential within therapeutic contexts and ethical practices for diverse client populations.
