PM 101 Introduction to Paramedic Practices

Introduces the role of the paramedic in today’s healthcare system, with a focus on the prehospital setting. To properly assess and manage a patient, a prehospital provider must have a solid foundation in human anatomy and physiology.  The student will integrate scene and patient assessment findings with epidemiology and pathophysiology to form field impressions. This includes developing a list of differential diagnoses through clinical reasoning to modify the assessment and formulate a treatment plan.
