CN 598 Counseling Practicum
This course reinforces, expands, and integrates content learned in psychopathology, assessment and foundations. As students move from observation to practice, they will learn to articulate treatment and related issues in an individual and group supervision format. In addition to clinical reflection and problem solving, students will conceptualize treatment and give case presentations as a way to clinically develop, learn how to communicate confidently and effectively in a clinical context, and give support and feedback while consolidating learning. 100 hours of practicum are required to complete the course. 90 hours of clinical practice and 10 hours of direct supervision.
Prerequisite
Admission to MAMT or permission of Director.
