GAM 2650 GAME DESIGN & DEVELOPMENT

This is a project-oriented course including elements of both artistic expression and computer programming towards the goal of developing a playable game experience. Students will work in teams to design, implement and test a two-dimensional game with interactivity, animation and networking capabilities. We will apply design principles and software engineering best practices to produce a playable game experience. Further, we will conduct rigorous playtests to inform the adaptations in successive iterations of our games. In parallel, development teams will design a 3D game for later development.
